Your unforgettable Sundarban Wildlife Photography Tour begins from the vibrant city of Kolkata. In the morning, our representative will receive you and drive you in a comfortable AC vehicle towards the gateway of the Sundarbans at Godkhali Ferry Ghat.

From Godkhali, the journey continues by boat through scenic rivers and mangrove-lined creeks towards the island region of Gosaba, finally reaching the peaceful village of Pakhiralay.

Upon arrival, you will check into your comfortable accommodation and enjoy a delicious lunch. Our team will complete all necessary forest permits from the forest office located at Sajnekhali Watch Tower for the upcoming safari expeditions.

In the late afternoon, you will begin a short introductory boat cruise through nearby mangrove creeks to get familiar with the forest environment. During this time, photographers can capture beautiful sunset landscapes, river reflections, and the early glimpses of wildlife.

Return to the resort in the evening, followed by a warm dinner and an overnight stay.

Start your day early with tea and light refreshments as the forest awakens with the sounds of birds and wildlife. Today’s adventure takes you deep into the famous Sundarbans National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the natural habitat of the legendary Royal Bengal Tiger.

Our safari boat departs at sunrise, giving photographers the best natural lighting conditions. The boat will cruise through narrow tidal creeks, mudflats, and mangrove forests where wildlife often appears along the riverbanks.

Throughout the day, you will explore major observation points, including Dobanki Watch Tower and Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower. These watchtowers offer elevated platforms where photographers can capture stunning views of deer grazing, birds in flight, and occasionally a tiger emerging from the mangrove forest.

Besides tigers, the Sundarbans host incredible wildlife such as spotted deer, wild boars, water monitor lizards, and estuarine crocodiles. The mangrove ecosystem also provides excellent opportunities for bird photography.

Return to the resort in the evening after a rewarding day of wildlife exploration.

Today’s journey focuses on exploring the remote areas of the Sundarbans Biosphere Reserve. This protected region consists of a complex network of tidal rivers, creeks, mudbanks, and dense mangrove forests.

For wildlife photographers, this day offers exceptional opportunities to capture natural behavior and movement of animals in their habitat. Early morning light filtering through mangrove roots creates dramatic photography conditions.

Bird lovers will especially enjoy this day, as the Sundarbans are home to hundreds of migratory and resident bird species. With patience and guidance from our expert forest guides, you may photograph species such as Brown-winged Kingfisher, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Eurasian Curlew, and many more.

The boat safari continues throughout the day with breaks for meals on board while cruising through peaceful forest channels.

Return to the resort in the evening for dinner and rest.

On Day 4, we venture deeper into the forest core zones where wildlife activity is often higher. This extended safari is specially designed for photographers who want more time and patience to capture rare moments.

You will explore lesser-visited forest creeks and hidden channels where animals frequently come to drink water during low tide. Photographers often spot estuarine crocodiles basking along the riverbanks, large monitor lizards, and herds of spotted deer.

The dense mangrove forests also hide many fascinating reptiles and birds, including Indian pythons, fishing cats, and colorful kingfishers.

Our experienced local guides understand wildlife movement and tidal patterns, helping photographers position themselves for the best possible angle and lighting.

Sunset over the mangrove rivers provides another beautiful opportunity for landscape photography before returning to the resort.

This day focuses on the incredible birdlife and scenic beauty of the Sundarbans. The early morning safari begins before sunrise, when bird activity is at its peak.

The mangrove ecosystem is a paradise for bird photographers. With patience and silence, you may photograph species such as Brown Hawk Owl, Falcated Duck, Eurasian Wigeon, Gadwall, Mallard, and Indian Spot-billed Duck.

Apart from birds, the calm rivers and mangrove roots create extraordinary landscape photography opportunities. The reflections of trees on tidal waters and the golden sunrise light provide stunning compositions.

Throughout the day, photographers will have ample time to capture slow and careful shots of wildlife behavior, bird flight, and natural textures of the mangrove forest.

Return to the resort in the evening for your final night in the Sundarbans.

Your last day begins with a peaceful sunrise cruise through the forest rivers. This final safari gives photographers another opportunity to capture wildlife and scenic landscapes of the Sundarbans.

By now, you will have developed a deeper understanding of the forest, its wildlife behavior, and the rhythms of the tides. Use this time to capture those last magical frames that complete your wildlife photography journey.

After breakfast, the boat will cruise back to Godkhali Ferry Ghat, passing through charming villages and quiet rivers of rural Bengal.

From Godkhali, our vehicle will drive you back to Kolkata, marking the end of an unforgettable Sundarban Wildlife Photography Tour filled with adventure, learning, and incredible photographic memories.
